The 20Y-54-11273 is a rubber mount cushion that isolates the main hydraulic pump assembly from the engine/PTO interface on Komatsu PC200-series excavators. Hydraulic piston pumps generate high-frequency pressure pulsations at multiples of their piston count multiplied by shaft speed — creating vibration signatures distinct from engine firing pulses. The 20Y-54-11273 is tuned to attenuate these specific frequencies.
Without proper pump mount isolation, hydraulic pressure pulsations transmit as noise and vibration through the pump mounting bracket into the engine block and from there into the revolving frame. This "hydraulic whine" is one of the most common operator complaints on excavators with worn pump mounts. The 20Y-54-11273 restores factory-quiet operation by breaking the metal-to-metal vibration transmission path between the pump housing and the engine.
The 20Y-54-11273 works as part of a complete vibration isolation system alongside engine mounts like the 20Y-54-39520 and 17A-54-46120. For comprehensive vibration reduction during a major overhaul, we recommend replacing pump mounts and engine mounts simultaneously. Contact us for complete isolation kit pricing.

Under standard operating conditions, the 20Y-54-11273 has an expected service life of 5,000 to 8,000 operating hours. In severe duty applications (24/7 mining, extreme temperatures, high dust), service life may be reduced. Inspect at every major service interval (2,000 hours) for surface cracking, compression set, oil contamination, and mounting hardware integrity.
Replacement criteria: Replace when surface cracks exceed 2 mm depth, compression set exceeds 30%, rubber shows oil swelling, or the operator reports increased vibration. Always replace all mounts simultaneously for optimal isolation performance.
